I have compiled ssh on various solaris boxes. I have a processs that
gets stats from boxes via ssh, however if the remote box is down etc
or ssh is not running, then when I do ssh <hostname> it hangs forever
(actually I havent timed it) opposite of other protcols such as ftp
and telnet, where you get connection closed message quite quickly.

Does anyone know how you put in a timeout threshhold to close the
connection more quickly ? I am running openssh 3.1 on solaris.

Thanks
