Hi,
I have 10 servers that use scp to to copy a file from a different
server. The file is copied at the same exact time by all 10 servers
using a a cron job. The userid/password used by all of the 10
servers are the same.
I haven't had any problems with this set up however recently there
have been 2 instances when one of the servers scp the file. When I
checked the cron logs, I came accross this message
ssh_exchange_identification: connection closed by host
Since it is very critical that every server recieve this file. I am
wondering if there is anything I can do to minimize the chances of
this happening again. Should I maybe stagger the times at which the
files are copied? Would this be a problem caused by multiple servers
accessing the file at the same time.?
Any help would be appreciated .. thanks
