Yes, right. All puttys get unuseable at the same instant (as long as a
human being can verify). Putty doesn't need to be at the foreground at
this time - I have had this happening that I had a bunch of puttys
open, used agent to read news for an hour, to come back to my ssh
sessions and find all puttys frozen.

W2K isn't the most exotic platform though.

I suspect this is an OS issue as well, since the processes cannot even
be killed, but putty is the only app that seems to be affected.
