PuTTY authentication problem

Hi All,

I am having trouble logging in. This is the error message written to the
PuTTY log file (a shame that the line is truncated). I guess it is to do
with directory/file permissions on the server for $HOME/.ssh/ and the
authorized_keys file but i have tried all I know and it still fails.

2002-05-24 20:36:44 This key matches configured key file
2002-05-24 20:36:44 Remote: RSA authentication refused for steve: bad
ownership or modes for '/hom
2002-05-24 20:36:44 Key refused

Has anyone got any ideas?
