Hi,
I'm trying to setup a FreeBSD box with SSH to administer it (from a
Windows computer with Putty). The connection work well with password
authentication and SSH2 (I plan to used PubKey). What I would like to
have is a Banner before the login prompt. I read in the manuel that I
can do that with the "Banner" in the config file. That's not working.
I try:
"Banner /etc/ssh/warning" or
"Banner ./warning" or
"Banner warning"
I read something about "/etc/issue" and "/etc/issue.net" but it no
longer apply to FreeBSD (no entry in the manual).
Can someone help me
Here is the info about My configuration:
On the server side:
OpenSSH_2.9 FreeBSD localisations 20011202, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0
When I connect, on the client side:
Server version: SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_2.9 FreeBSD localisations 20011202
We claim version: SSH-2.0-PuTTY
Using SSH protocol version 2
Host key fingerprint is:
1024 5a:64:49:54:4e:bb:ea:80:61:43:93:eb:91:3d:6d:04
Initialised triple-DES client->server encryption
Initialised triple-DES server->client encryption
Opened channel for session
Allocated pty
Started a shell/command
Thanks
