I'm puzzling out how to use public-key authentication with putty and ssh2d
    on Linux.
I'm using putty as the client. I'm not sure the exact version on the
server, it's a shared hosting company. But I made some progress after I
figured out to put "key filename" in .ssh2/authorization and the key in
    filename.

On the server ssh -V gives ssh: SSH Version 2.0.13. Not sure what this says
    about sshd.

    login as: myusername
    Authenticating with public key "rsa-key-20020127"
Passphrase for key "rsa-key-20020127": (I typed the passphrase here)
    Access denied
myusername@mydomain.com's password: (I had to type my password here to log
    in)

Why might access be denied, now that it seems it at least sees that I have a
    matching pair of keys ?
