I have OpenSSH version 2.9p2 on Solaris 8, and the above command works
fine. What version are you using?
I normally don't upgrade to the latest and greatest versions of
software, considering the risk that the new software introduces new
bugs, so if the older version is good enough, I'll tend to stick with
it. However, in this day and age where every high school kid with a
$600 computer and way too much free time on his hands trying to hack
into every system he can find, it's probably a good idea to have your
security-related tools be as up-to-date as practical.
