Hi all,
I finally implemented this with squid running in transparent mode. Here
is what I followed:

http://en.tldp.org/HOWTO/TransparentProxy.html
With RH9, the kernel seems to have the feature built-in. No kernel
rebuilt is necessary.
Combining with wildcard blocking by "Squid Guard", I got what I want.
