    VULNERABILITY SUMMARY:
    A potential security vulnerability has been identified with the HP
    OpenView Operations and OpenView VantagePoint Java Runtime
    Environment (JRE). This vulnerability may allow an untrusted
    remote applet to elevate its privileges.

    The vulnerability affects JRE versions up to 1.4.2_07.

    HP has made the following software patches available to resolve

     ->JavaGUI on all PC clients which use it. The procedure for
     ->reinstalling the standalone JavaGUI is described in the
     ->"Installing the Java-based Operator GUI" chapter of the
     ->"OpenView Operations Installation Guide."
