Removing WinTools: Can't Run "Hijack This"

I tried removing WinTools using these instructions:

I did as it asked, problem is, I can't get "Hijack this" to run. When it
scans, it crashes--giving the "Send/Don't Send" option. I can't get past it.

Any other way to remove Wintools? Anyway to MAKE my machine (Windows XP SP2)
run this program without crashing?
