    You are out of touch. Macs have become quite popular with us old Unix
    folk. But this is not the place to argue that. OS X Macs avoid viri
    the same way Linux does: we aren't running as root and we have to sudo
    for anything that needs root.

    Unfortunately, we have that stupid killer app - QuickBooks (not Quicken
    - there's plenty of Linux apps that can replace that). It does run on a
    Mac, though it's often behind in features, and the SOB's won't port it
    to Linux - even though it would obviously be much easier now that they
    have done OS X.
