    ..good advice. Never "build" a system while connected to the Internet, or
    use a system until all security patches have been installed.

    At home I build the new system behind my firewall (AMD Atholon 64 FreeBSD
    using IPFW). Next, I go only to windowsupdate and update everything. Next,
    I install my antivirus apps, anti spyware, etc, etc on top of the fresh,
    and patched, Windows OS.
