I have checked out Utimaco's offering previously and it seemed roughly
comparable to PC Guardian's software. I visited the PointSec website,
but the info seems rather sparse. The EAL4 is impressive though the
lost key recovery option seems like a major security hole. What has
your use of both of these products been like? How fast is the "on the
fly" decryption? Significant performance hit? Has it caused any
problems or system instability or incompatibilities with other
software?
