The way I heard it, it's forty million for the main shindig, and
another forty million for secondary bashes held here and there.
It's a shocking waste of money, no matter which party does it.
A local columnist mentioned the plight of the troops in Iraq,
and calculated that this money could have provided their requested
armor upgrades on 650 vehicles.
