Not so easy with MSN Messenger, at least, not that i can see. There
seems to be no definitive port guide as to which should be opened,
indeed, those i've tried have still resulted in no audio. i think i even
tried DMZ once ....!

Hopefully, in running with a separate software firewall, such instances
will be avoided as the firewall will only let through authorised
programs ...... [looks upward for some reassurance]
