So don't go after the same positions that 'just' IT people can do.

Helps to have not just the CISSP (I do) and other certifications (I have CISA),
but a Top Secret clearance with polygraph (like mine), over a decade and a half
experience in the field (like mine), publlished (I've done a few magazine
articles), presented at conferences (I've done a few), lead workshops (done a
couple),... You will get what you settler for. Work at it!
