It's a bad idea to have 2 On-Access (resident) antivirus scanners
running simultaneously. When an on-access scanner detects a virus it
denies eccess to it. If you have 2 antivirus in memory and both of them
want to deny all other programs access to the infected file your system
will come to a grinding halt. Stick to one resident scanner and if you
choose use anogther scanner for on-demand scans.

To answer your question no 2 antivirus products will work properly when
running simultaneously unless they were designed to do so and in the
case of Kaspersky and Antivir this is not the case. If you want multiple
antivirus engines try f-secure who have for years used their own engine
amongst Kaspersky and F-Prot.(www.f-secure.com)

P.S. F-Prot engine has been ditched for F-Secure's own Libra engine
which specialises in script and macro viruses.
