Just my opinion ... as the owner of Ad-Aware SE Personal.
Does anyone have any ideas on a possible fix for my problem? Ad-Aware
hasn't responded to my post on their forum ... in fact, they haven't
responded to a number of posts on their forums. Too bad I paid for
their SE software. Never again.
I'm trying to delete three keys from my registry in
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
If I turn-off Ad-Watch and remove it (Ad-Watch) from auto-starting, I
can successfully delete the registry keys I want to stop running at
start-up. I have verified this by rebooting and checking my registry.
However, as soon as I re-start Ad-Watch, it detects that changes to
the registry were made (as it tells me so), and then somehow restores
the keys I had confirmed were deleted. ?????
How can I fix this so my keys are permanently deleted and Adwatch
accepts the new registry as a baseline?
Thanks so much for your time/assistance ... and for putting up with my
venting in cyberspace...
Regards,
Rich
