Need Information::: How to integrate Norton or McAfee with my custom interface

Like the OPSWAT -they integrates other AV products and use their own
interfacce...
on which protocol it works? or things like that.....
can i use norton server with my own interface bbuild and installed on
the client machines...????
Need information that how is that possible... need a start--- from
where should i start.....
