I may or may not look at advertisements, regardless of the medium - web or
TV. However, fast-forwarding through commercials (or raiding the fridge
during the break) is not the same as installing extra components to
systematically block the advertisements that are supposed to pay for the
content one views.
I have toyed with the idea of rigging my web sites so that banners look like
content images, and vice versa, especially since it's so easy to do. I'm
refraining only because I hesitate to annoy visitors, even those who install
Norton Internet Security with an intent to parasitize on other people's
intellectual property.
