I run tail -f /var/log/syslog in a seperate window and have my window
manager configured to alert me if there's any activity in that window.

Very handy.

Your signature is out of line, Mark. The limit is 4 lines by convention.
They are supposed to be unobtrusive. Signatures not billboards.

Don't expect me to respond to another one of your posts if you don't fix
it.

And I'm a *nice* guy for telling you this. Many people who value the
Usenet will just silently killfile you.

This is very effective in the long run. You don't see a lot of over-
sized signatures on the Usenet, do you?

My newsfilter tells me how long your sig is. If it's over-sized I
don't read your article. Or maybe I do. You'll have no way of knowing.

Having heard all of the juvenile name calling from the clueless jerks
who generally are the only ones with over-sized sigs, I am killfiling
this thread.

If you are just new to the Usenet and ignorant, I apologize.
