I think, and i'm not sure, that those who can gain access must be set up
as a user on that system. If they are not, then they get prompted for a
username/password.

Their is a guest account that can be switched on, but is switched off by
default. I think even with it switched on, certain restrictions still
apply.

I know MS have made some monumental ***-up's in terms of security in
Windows, but i'm not sure they would have made simple file sharing such
a risk as is being anticipated here?
