Their default "free updates" server has been dicky for a couple of
weeks:

Find the file url.ini in the C:/Program Files/Grisoft/AVG6 folder and
Edit it thus:

[SERVER_NAME]
1=free.grisoft.cz
2=www.grisoft.com
3=www.grisoft.com

[SERVER_URL]
1=http://free.grisoft.cz/softw/60/fe
2=http://www.grisoft.com/akm/softw/60/fe/
3=http://www.grisoft.com/softw/60/fe/
Actual URL=2

SAVE it and D/load

This will give you a drop-down list of 3 servers to choose from, with
the Default on the 2nd one.
