Not sure if this is the case, but it is possible that what you are actually
seeing is the background downloaded virus definition update file being
unpacked.
I personally use EzTrust antivirus. On occassion, if I am doing something on
the PC, it slows things enough to see the unpacking dialogue which is just a
progress window.
Like I say - could be different with Norton. Perhaps it does the unpacking
totally invisibly.
