A. Background
In February 2004, the ITRC will integrate its email notification
and subscription management services for Patch and Information
Digests into HP Subscriber's Choice Driver & Support
Alerts/Notifications. Following this integration, you will be
able to receive patch and security information notifications
along with driver and software updates and other HP support
information all through one centralized subscription within
Subscriber's Choice.
Instead of selecting and maintaining Information Digests by
category as done previously, you now just need to tell us the
products and operating systems for which you are interested.
Subscriber's Choice will then deliver information to you
based upon your product and operating system selections.
In addition, instead of delivering the entire document to you
via email as before, HP will deliver a brief description with a
viewable link for you to examine the document online.
The Subscriber's Choice website provides you with a centralized
accesspoint to all the latest subscriptions from HP as well as
the ability to update your subscription profile at any time.
Proactive email can be received as they are available, weekly or
monthly. Most importantly, you can access a customized web page
that displays your most recent driver, software and support
information that is relevant to your products.
If you wish to continue receiving notification of security
bulletins, please register for Subscriber's Choice using
the following url:
<http://www.hp.com/united-states/subscribe/gateway/>
The key changes from the existing notification service are:
* New Simplified Email Format
* Improved Registration Process
* Customizable Recent Driver & Support Web Page
* More Choices in Frequency
* Wider Range of Notifications and Support
* More Products Supported
