Digital certs or token... HELP!

Hi All,

I am stucked in getting a secure solution for securing the file transfer
traffic between my corporate network and business partners.

1. How do I secure the tunnel between my corporate users and business
partners? It is not feasible to set up an extranet because the numbers of
users are too small.

2. The solution must be as hassle-installation free as possible because the
business partners are all over the world. I am thinking of using digital
certs, but how do I go about implementing this solution?
