Quite possibly legitimate--his machine may the be the mail gateway for
your company...hard to tell with the details you've given. You could
send a dummy message out to a non-existent address and compare that
bounce message to the one that concerns you.

More to your concern, trust that your mail _could_easily_ be monitored
by your collegaue since he has access to all IT resources in the
company. This bounce, however, neither confirms or denies that he's
exercising that technical capability.
