how to access protected files after reinstallation of WinXP ?

    I am using English WinXP professional.

    My system crashed some days ago.

    I have "My documents" folder in Drive D, and my OS in Drive C.

    the folder is set 'private' by using WinXP.

    After reinstalled the OS, I cannot access my folders in Drive D.

    The error message is "Access denied"

    How can I solve this problem ?
