No, unencrypted emails go through just fine in any format selected
(plaintext, HTML or Rich text).
It is just when I send encrypted email that my rich text format is
blown away. (I have rich text format enabled as my default format.)

Same in Outlook 2000, you have a checkbox for each address book entry
to select if the recipient can read rich text or not. But my buddy
also uses Outlook (the 2003 flavour) so rich text is always used
between us. Only now, when we want to use secure email the formatting
is lost. :-(

Note: If I use PGP 7.0.3 then the Rich Text is preserved for me and a
few other people. But the ones using Outlook 2003 seem unable to
install PGP 7.0.3 and get the PGP plugin working.
That is why we started looking at the built-in secure email in the
first place..
