Are you talking about PGP for personal or business use? As has been
mentioned, there are ways of making it easier to use. Some products
can be found at the PGP Corporation (http://www.pgp.com), the
International PGP Home page (http://www.pgpi.org/) as well as Network
Associates
(http://www.nai.com/us/products/mcafee/encryption/ebusiness_server.htm
). A product I found recently was Authora Zendit
(http://www.authora.com)
There are online services available that handle the whole process,
including key mangement etc. for you. You might want to look at
Hushmail (https://www.hushmail.com) or S-Mail (http://s-mail.com/) A
potential issue for some systems like these is that all senders and
recipients may have to use the same system to ensure encryption
between both parties (some systems pass decrypt email and pass it in
clear text when being transferred outwith the service. SMIME
compliant services are also available (like POP3Now at
http://www.pop3now.com/).
You can get business systems that support PGP along with other
standards such as TLS and SMIME (like Ciphertrust IronMail -
http://www.ciphertrust.com, CryptoEx http://www.cryptoex.com, Utimaco
SecurE-Mail Gateway (http://www.utimaco.com/indexmain.html).
Hope this helps
