"xpyttl"
Thx. much for your excellent reply. I waited this long to see if
others might chip in. Your answers were just what I needed. I am
aware of the "improved" security for Home Users that XP offers. My
issue isn't really hiding things from my family so much as being able
to hide period. "Dr. Who's Security FAQ" is like Manna to a Harry
Homeowner Privacy Wannabe like me. But it( vers. 17.6) left unanswered
the original questions of this post. It's also over my head in some
ways(for now- but not for long). It fun having a new Box and knowing
it's still clean and - maybe - can be kept that way.
Again, my grateful thanks.
Andrew
