Giulio Cespuglio asked:
>Should I worry?
>What are the odds of my details being sniffed and used?
>Could you point me to some literature please?

I'll go further. I've looked for years and don't have records of a single
confirmed compromise of a credit card number in transit. Is it possible?
Oftimes, yes. Is it done? Not so far as I can tell. Easier to get a few
hundred/thousand from badly secured servers that have a bunch in a database
than MAYBE snagging one amongst the flook of information. Scarlet-letter type
concealment. I agree with Spaf's assessment of shipping material in a steel
safe to be stored in a wet cardboard box.

Will someone please enlighten me away from this by referencing a documented
case of a confirmed compromise of a credit card number in transit?
