IEXPLORE.EXE (without any request) attempts, via TCP, to connect to hpc.hpconline.com? I do not permit that!

What is the mechanism used to get iexplore.exe (without my request) to TCP
connect to
hpc.hpconline.com?
(I searched the registry for both hpc.hpconline.com and the URI for it
without success.)
Thanks for any help.
