You don't know both systems technically then I bet.

Congratulations.

But, for that discussion:

Why does a Windows box offer so many services in the default
configuration? That is the point. Also I have no big problems
with my Windows boxes - but I never would run a Windows system
in default configuration, because that is rubbish. I would
never use Windows as a security platform or connect it directly
and unfiltered to the internet.

The problem is, that so many home users do that - and so many
business customers of Microsoft don't have the knowledge (also
their supports do not) how to secure a Windows system.

The problem is the absolutely misconfiguration of Windows
which is the default, not to mention the security flaws which
are by design, and because of them Windows systems have to be
secured by filtered traffic. And not to talk about senseless
using of OCX "ActiveX" controls for the Internet - what a
stupid idea to abuse useful technology for nonsense!
