I've been into computers for over 25 years. Had the same primary email
account for over 10 (Well accept for a gte to verizon change). And I think,
between work and home, I have had a total of 4 viruses emailed to me. None
got through the AV program. But this ^%$@ Swen is driving me bonkers.
First, like some of you have experienced, I got hammered by hundreds of
emails. Then, Verizon activated a spam filter, with out me knowing. The
junk folder filled in no time at all and I stopped getting email for a
couple of days. I didn't even know they had spam blocking or that I had a
junk folder! So now I have it disabled (it's better if I can delete them
form my normal email client) and I have filters set in my email client, but
I have to keep my laptop on, and my email client up, so my email account
won't get full.
This is, for me, the only thing to come along that's lasted, and it doesn't
seem to be taken too seriously. At least there doesn't seem to be any work
going on to stop it.
Is anybody doing anything about this!!!!!!
Whew. I feel better now. I guess I just had to vent.
Mike
