    While connected to NTL, open a DOS command window and ping
    NEWS.INDIVIDUAL.NET. The results should look like this:

      C:\>ping NEWS.INDIVIDUAL.NET

      Pinging NEWS.INDIVIDUAL.NET [130.133.1.4] with 32 bytes of data:

      Reply from 130.133.1.4: bytes=32 time=194ms TTL=233
      Reply from 130.133.1.4: bytes=32 time=193ms TTL=233
      Reply from 130.133.1.4: bytes=32 time=192ms TTL=233
      Reply from 130.133.1.4: bytes=32 time=192ms TTL=233

      Ping statistics for 130.133.1.4:
          Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
      Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
          Minimum = 192ms, Maximum = 194ms, Average = 192ms

      C:\>

    If the ping command comes back with an "Unknown host" error, then
    the problem is with NTL's DNS servers.

    You can use public DNS servers instead, from one of these sites:

        The Public DNS Service

        ORSC Public Access DNS Nameservers
