You will have to resort to detective work... open up your task manager and
go through the list of services that are on it... if possible, print that
out and then turn on your Outlook 2000 to see if you can recreate that
'freeze' scenario.. go back to task manager and compare...

Of course, the other option (one that I am inclined to do if I feel that my
computer has been compromised), is to reformat and reinstall anew...
