    Hi,

    could anybody explain me what is ment with an "application proxy
    server" and what the difference is with a normal proxy server?

    Is it possible for an application proxy server to read the contents of
    SOAP messages?

    What kind of application proxy servers do there exist?
    Are they available as Open Source Software?
    What kind of commercial application proxy servers do there exist?
