Just a double take on this point, I can't see any reason why you can't have
a local socks server running and socksify all your file sharing
applications. If you configure the socks server to connect to
localhost:4001, there's no reason why your connection to the file sharing
system can't be anonymous and encrypted. The actually transfer itself
though would be unencrypted between you and the other file sharer.
