Norton Problems - XP and Latest Update

Hi,

Has anyone else been hit by this very buggy update from Norton for Internet
Security that has hurt Windows XP? They title it:

Norton Internet Security 2003 does not load on reboot after applying the
6.04 patch via LiveUpdate

So far, there is no solution except to uninstall and reinstall or use System
Restore.

On my PC, it will boot fine but when the desktop appears, it will take an
additional 1-2 minutes for anything in the system tray to load and often,
NIS will not load and I need to start manually.

I've also had other issues, like Message Prompts (i.e. do you wish to save
before closing) windows appear behind the window they need to appear in
front of. And when I return from standby, and click on my name, it will
always says 6 new e-mails waiting.

This update has just been a mess. Just wanted to see if anyone else is
experiencing this. Below is a link to Norton:
