No, I was referring to the possibility that someone might put a
"call home" function in the BIOS prom.
It seems likely to me that a professional thief would not want to bother
with BIOS passwords, possible misconfigurations at the BIOS level,
possible call-home programs, and so on: they'd just rip out the
BIOS and replace it with something they knew worked.
