Can someone help me understand the Atalla AKB format? I understand the
ECB and CBC DES modes and the header,3Key,MAC format and what the
header bytes mean.
What I'm having trouble getting is how to derive an AKB value from a
standard key.
For example, here is a snippet of an example:
The 3key-3DES Master File Key is:
2ABC 3DEF 4567 0189 9810 7645 FED3 CBA2 0123 4567 89AB CDEF,
check digits = B196.
Clear-text Master Key: 1111 1111 1111 1111.
The Master Key in AKB format:
1ADNE000,30E6A07C9E4C487EB08F46AF01E64CAED0992A87B336AC61,A66
804B787FC9CDD
How do they get the AKB formatted value?
Mike
