An 'Expert' said that:
"The most prevalent attack on the internet is redirection attacks"
that it is possible using an offline explorer such as the one at
www.reamweaver.com to replicate a site and then redirect the original
site to the replicated one.
I hold that:
1. Redirection attacks is not the most prevalent attacks on the
internet.
2. That redirecting a sites is impossible without first hacking into
the original site and placing a redirection page on the site.
To this he suggessted that the DNS server routing internet traffic can
be hacked into and this changes implemented.
I told him that it is a very hard task. While this is theoretically
possible, I believe it is hard to achieve. What do you think?
