I also have taken the Intense School track. Remember it is a REVIEW course
not a training course. But if you have the experience to back it up and
just need help in a few domains it is very exhausting but well worth the
trouble. I took it from Shon Harris when she was there. Now I believe
someone she hand picked is doing the course for Intense School. I passed
first try as did at least four others that I kept email contact with from my
class. But to quote Shon, "I believe the word everyone uses is... violated"
in reference to the difficulty of the test. She is not kidding either. My
personal take on it is (without discussing test specifics) that you must be
able to dissect each question into the CIA triad. Then you can pick off the
answers that meet the appropriate thing. Confidentiality, Integrity or
Availability. Short of it is, know your stuff or you won't pass.

I am the Sans mentor for my area and Sans just recently added the CBKs
material to the GSEC course. But you will find the material is still
focused on the GSEC certfication. The addition of the CBKs is well
integrated to help provide a foundation for moving on towards the CISSP.
However, it is not a review course designed to prep for the CISSP exam
itself.

You can find good information about this at http://www.cccure.org/
