I'm wondering if there is a WWW site that has a search engine keyed
by port number, that lists known probes/vulnerabilities for
the port?
When I see probes against specific ports, although our firewall
has blocked the probes, I often wonder what the prober was hoping
to find. Trying to find information about specific ports by
googling for it can often end up with too many useless matches
(e.g., the port number might happen to match an incident number,
or the port number might happen to have been a -source- port in
a firewall log.) It would be useful if I could go to a site,
fill in a form with protocol and port, and thence be pointed
to relevant information about security on that port. Is there
anything like that around?
