I didn't read your previous msg, but this looks like LCP maintenance -
it is used to check if your xDSL modem line is still up.

This I guess is how your providers hw checks if your connection is
alive. (ask them to get confirmation)

Not much to complain about IMO...and not interesting to log unless you
have a flaky connection.
