wow- is your computer wide open to abuse or what .........

I use a number of FREE applications that protect me (I hope) from the abuse
that you are suffering.

Zone Alarm is a personal firewall
Mailwasher helps to stop SPAM
AVG is an antivirus application from Grisoft
Ad-Aware from Lavasoft removes all the spyware from your system.

You can find all the download locations by entering the application names
into www.google.com

If you want to get a little more complex, you can create or edit your
'hosts' files in Windows to stop advertising and other pop-ups.
