I can understand completly. The time spent investigating and reporting
attempted breaches of security is relative to the number you have to deal
with and the actual seriousness of each.
There are thousands of "kiddie scripts" running 24 x 7 so you could could
spend all day, and night, reporting attempts.
Neither yourself nor Brian quantified the number of attacks you see each day
so I may be accurate in saying that the number you see is a drop in the
bucket to what Brian has to deal with, but I don't know.
