Our corporate IDS and Firewall log a lot of "attacks" during the day. If I
E-mailed all of them, I'd be a busy man. There really isn't much you can do
other than keep an eye on it. Occasionally if the hostname is of a major
company or government site, I'll give them a call. Those types are usually
much more willing to do something. I even got a $25 gift certificate from
one company...thought that was rather cool.
