I VPN from home using a cable modem and Entrust VPN. I have always
thought that I need a firewall such as ZoneAlarm, Norton, etc, to
protect both my PC as well as my employer's network.
I was told today that by virtue of me using VPN, my employer's network
is secure, and the firewall software on my PC only serves to protect my
PC.
I remember hearing, though, that Microsoft source code was exposed
because and employee VPN'ned in without a firewall.
Can someone set one of us straight?
